91 Seniors To Graduate From Prescott High

Ninety-one students of PHS, the Class of '73 will graduate from Prescott High School Friday evening, May 19th.

The seniors will enter the high school gym at 8:00 p.m. Kelly Clearly, a PHS junior plays "Pomp and Circumstances." Senior John McWilliams will lead the assembly in the invocation.

Following this, Jeff Watson, tri-valedictorian of the class will address the group. "Yesterday's Goals" will be the topic of his speech.

After Kris Wesson, presents a flute solo, Richard McGough, one of the other tri-valedictorians, will talk of "Today's Decisions."

Wanda Box, Dona Daniel, Gwendolyn Gulley, Vanessa King, Angela Payne, Cathy Reese, and Monica Woodle will sing "Graduation Day." Levetta Stinson is to accompany on the piano.

"Tomorrow...Challenges" is to be the topic of a speech presented by Dan Fincher, another tri-valedictorian.

Review of awards will be given by Mr. Ted Kirby and members of the Board of Education will be introduced afterwards.

Diplomas will then be presented to the seniors by Mr. Ted Kirby, principal of Prescott High School, and Mr. William Gordon, President of the Board of Education.

The graduates will sing the Alma Mater after which Danny Stewart is to give the benediction.

The following are the Prescott High School graduates:

Bobby Ray Adams, 18 year old son of Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Adams, was a member of the Future Farmers of America.

Shirley Jean Ammons, 18 year old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Floyd Ammons, participated in the Junior Play. She was also a contestant in the Fair Queen Contest.

Timmy Ashbrook, 18 year old son of Mr. And Mrs. D.A. Ashbrook, was president of the Letterman's Club his senior year. Besides being a member of the Curley Wolf football team, he also made All-District his senior year.

Donna Gail Avery, 18 year old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Avery, was a member of the National Honor Society, a majorette for the PHS Band, and was the 1972 Homecoming Queen.

Joan McKinnon Barton, 18 year old daughter of Mrs. Harvey McKinnon, was the sophomore class president, member of the Junior play cast, and was invited to Kiwanis Honor Banquet her sophomore year.

John Warren Brannan, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Brannan, transferred to Prescott High School this year from Hall High School, Little Rock.

William Herman Brown, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Brown, was junior class president, and attended the Kiwanis Club Honor Banquet his sophomore, junior and senior year.

Wanda Jean Box, 18 year old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Jesse Hendrix, was crowned Miss PHS her junior year, captured 2nd place in the Fair Queen Contest, and was a cheerleader during high school.

Robert Dale Burke, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Burke, participated in football and weight lifting all four years of high school.

Debbie Lynn Butler, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Butler, transferred to Prescott High School this year from Bodcaw High School. She was a member FHA, FBLA, FTA, Basketball, Dynamo, and Quill and Scroll.

Henry Lee Butler, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Butler, was a member of FFA and participated in athletics.

Patrick Kelly Capps, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Capps, was a member of FFA and the Motorcycle Club.

Kenneth Dwane Anthony, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Anthony, was a member of the band, choral club, and FFA.

Linda Sue Christopher, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Otis Christopher, was National Honor Society secretary, member of the pep club, and FHA.

Randy Wayne Clifton, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Glendall Clifton, participated in athletics.

Jackie Glenn Crayne, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crayne, was a member of FFA and participated in athletics.

Steven Cummings Crow, 18 year old son of Dr. and Mrs. Blake Crow, was the Curley Wolves manager for football and track all four years of high school. He was a member of the "P"Club and FTA.

Nancy Gail Cornelius, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cornelius, was secretary of her junior and senior class, played basketball, and was a cheerleader her senior year.

Donna Evelyn Daniel, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Daniel, was drum majorette for the PHS marching band, member of FHA, FTA, and Student Council member.

Dwayne Alan Daniel, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Daniel, attended Boys State, was president his freshman year and vice-president of NHS.

Richard Ray Deaton, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Deaton, was a member of FFA.

Alice Fayetta DuCharme, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert DuCharme, was a member of FHA, pep squad, and band.

William Roy Duke, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Duke, Jr. attended Boy's State, participated in football all four high school years and participated in track freshman and sophomore years.

Arlis Dwain East, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlis East was a member of NHS, free throw champion, rebound champion, and received letters in all four sports.

Danny Wayne Ellis, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Deral Ellis, was a sophomore class favorite, and All-District guard his senior year. Other activities included FTA, football, and FBLA.

William Steven Ferguson, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ferguson, was a member of FFA and mechanics class.

Daniel Blake Fincher, 17 year old son of Mrs. Phena Fincher, attended Boy's State, won three scholarship awards, member of NHS, Student Council and Quill and Scroll.

Calvin James Flemons is the 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lee Flemons.

Willard Douglas Franklin, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Regenald Franklin, was a band member and participated in football and track.

Tressia Gillard is the17 year old daughter of Mrs. Catherine Gillard.

John Wesley George, Jr. is the 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John George.

Samuel Charles Graham, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe Graham, was senior class vice-president, attended Boy's State and participated in football and track.

Sandra Jean Graham, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Graham, attended Girl's State and was cheerleader her senior year.

Linda Gail Greening, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordie Greening, was a member of FHA, band and pep club.

Gwendolyn Gulley, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gulley, was Miss Congeniality of Miss PHS Pageant in 1972. She was a member of coral club and FHA.

Otis Wilson Gulley is the 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gulley.

Doug Guthrie, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Guthrie, Jr. was a freshman class favorite, made All-District in football and All-Southwest.

Donita Lavern Hale, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hale, was a member of NHS, band, and FHA.

Nelson Haynie is the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Haynie.

Vickie Ruth Henry, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Henry, was a member of NHS, Dynamo editor, first runner up in Fair Queen Contest, and played basketball all four years of high school.

Vicki Ann Holliman, 17 year old daughter of Mr. Mae Ruth Bozman, was a member of Pep Club, and FHA.

Debra Ann Inscore, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Inscore, was a member of FHA and was chosen Senior Spotlight for March 1973.

Larry Don Inscore, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Inscore, attended the Kiwanis Banquet and was a member of FFA.

James Ronald Johnson, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Johnson, received honors in football as captain, All-District, All-State, All-Four State, and All-Southwest.

Thomas Alton Johnson, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Lee Johnson, lettered in football and was a member of the "P" Club.

Vanessa Dell King, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn King, was a member of Student Council, Junior Play Cast, Girls Track, FHA Secretary and V. President, and Band.

Gary Wayne Lyons, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lyons, was a member of Boy's State, Band, Photography Club President, and Quill and Scroll.

Samuel Marlowe, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Marlowe, was a member of FFA.

Willie Ray Martin is the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Martin.

Richard Lee McGough, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. McGough, was a member of NHS, Letterman in Jr. High, Letterman in Sr. Football (Jr. and Sr. year), Member of "P" Club, and Kiwanis Honor Student - Soph., Jr., and Sr. year.

John Daniel McWillaims, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Williams, was a member of Region Band, Kiwanis Honor Student, FTA, NHA, Quill and Scroll Treasurer, Wolf Trail, and Band.

Ellen Denise Morgan, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Morgan, was a member of FTA.

Sandra Ellis Mormon, 18 year of daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ellis, was a member of FHA, FTA, cheerleader, and Pep Club.

Anne Morehead, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Caroll Morehead, was a member of Girl's State, Quill and Scroll President, Wolf Trail President, Junior Play Cast, Kiwanis Honor Student, FHA, FTA, NHS, and band.

Bertha Irene Muldrow, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Muldrow, was a member of FHA, and was a cheerleader.

Thomas Roger Muldrow is the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Muldrow.

Charlotte Gwen Needham, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Needham, was a member of FHA, FTA, and Miss Nevada County Contestant.

Scotty Lynn Nelson, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Foy Nelson, was a member of Band and FFA.

Iris Irene Nixon is the 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Nixon.

Betty Oglesby, 18 year old daughter of Mr. Dawson Oglesby and Mrs. Emogene Copeland, was a member of FHA, FTA and Band.

Dale Everett Orren, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Orren, was a member of FFA and Athletics.

Angela Jane Payne, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Payne, was a member of Girl's State, Feature Twirler, NHA President, Prescott Jr. Miss, AR Jr. Miss Personality Award, 1971 Miss PHS, Class Favorite 70, 71, 72,73; FHA Federation President, FHA, FTA, Wolverette Basketball - All District 72 and 73.

Mary Katherine Pearson, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Pearson, was a member of FHA.

Dennis Carroll Pruitt, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Pruitt, was a member of Curley Wolves Football 1,2,3,4; Basketball 1,2: FFA 1,2,3: Track 1,2: Baseball1, Homecoming Escort 4.

Tommy Roy Purifoy is the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Purifoy.

Bobby Joe Purifoy, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Purifoy, was a member of basketball, FFA, "P" Club, and Track.

Cathy Diane Reese, 18 year old daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Reese was FBLA President, TFA, FHA, Pep Club, Sophomore Treasurer, Junior Play Cast.

John Mitchell Reese, 19 year old son of Mrs. Elizabeth Reese, was a member of FTA, FFA, Track, and football letterman.

Gary Don Simpson is the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Don Simpson.

Bryon Scott Smyth, 18 year old son of Mrs. Joe B. Smyth was a member of FTA, FBLA, FFA Judging Team, Senior Class President.

Terry Lee Spearman, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Spearman, was a member of Football (Captain), All-State, All-District, Outstanding Back, All Southwest Arkansas Player, Bi Racial Committee, Basketball, Track.

Danny Alvin Stewart, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stewart, was a member of FTA, NHS, Kiwanis Honor Student, Rotary Scholastic Award - English II, Library Aide, and Band.

LaVetta Anne Stinson, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Stinson, was a member of FTA President, NHS Treasurer, Girl's State, American History Award, Miss Congeniality of 1971, Student Council, Band, FHA, FTA, Supt. Advisory Committee.

Terry Dwayne Talley, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Talley, was a member of FFA.

Joanne Thompson, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Cottingham, was a member of FHA and Fair Queen Contestant.

Sandra Kay Virden, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Garrett, was a member of FTA- vice-president, Junior Play Cast, and - Majorette, Junior Basketball, and FHA.

Gloria Dean Walker is the 18 year old daughter of Mrs. Icy Lee Walker.

Herbert Lee Williams, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Williams, was a member of Track team.
