The ten-year reunion of the Prescott High School class of 1973 was held Saturday and was attended by nearly fifty classmates, many spouses and guests. A total of 82 were at the evening banquet, while 30 persons attended an informal get-together Saturday morning in the park.
Receiving awards were Joan Barton for most traveled; Steve Wood of Ashland, Oregon, for greatest distance traveled to the reunion; Robert Burke for the male with the most children and Doris Bowman Flemons for the female with most children; Jackie Crayne for most changed male and Danny Stewart for least changed; Gwen Needham Adams for most changed female and Vicki Henry Smith for least changed.
John Nolan performed "Summertime," and was accompanied by Angela Payne Garner on the piano. Brenda Livingston Young sang the class song, "I Can See Clearly Now," accompanied by Dwain East on the piano.
Steve Crow remembered the sports accomplishments of the class such as a girls basketball and boys football state championship.
Joan Barton read letters from some classmates who couldn't attend the reunion and read the names of four classmates who had died Bill Stewart, Roger Hillery, Darwin Ferguson and Richard Deaton.
Guests of the class were Mrs. Ida Purtle, Mrs. Nell Gordon, Mrs. Martha Craig, Mrs. Betty Stinson and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shirron.
Timmy Ashbrook served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. William Duke gave the welcome.
